Cagrilintide
No lawful US pathway
01 · Overview
Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analogue given once weekly by subcutaneous injection and developed for weight management (PMID 34798060). Amylin is a 37-amino-acid hormone co-secreted with insulin that promotes satiety, slows gastric emptying, and acts on brain regions involved in appetite.
Cagrilintide is being developed both alone and in combination with semaglutide (CagriSema).
02 · Research summary & key findings
In a 26-week phase 2 trial in adults with overweight or obesity, cagrilintide produced dose-dependent weight loss of 6.0 to 10.8 percent versus 3.0 percent with placebo, and the highest dose exceeded liraglutide 3.0 mg (Lancet, 2021) (PMID 34798060). A phase 1b trial found that adding cagrilintide to semaglutide 2.4 mg increased weight loss and was well tolerated (PMID 33894838). In the 68-week phase 3 REDEFINE 1 trial, cagrilintide plus semaglutide reduced body weight by 20.4 percent versus 3.0 percent with placebo, with gastrointestinal adverse events in about 80 percent of treated participants (PMID 40544433).
03 · Regulatory status
Cagrilintide is currently undergoing clinical trials. It is not yet FDA-approved and is available only through clinical research settings or investigational protocols.
No lawful pathway today
Cagrilintide is not FDA-approved and does not currently have a lawful prescription or compounding pathway in the United States, so we do not sell it and will not book a consultation for it. That can change: in 2026 FDA began reviewing several peptides for compounding. If you are working on the goal it is studied for, a licensed clinician can tell you what is lawfully available, which may be something else.

Looking for a lawful, clinician-prescribed option for metabolic health and weight?
Cagrilintide is still in clinical trials, is not FDA-approved, and has no lawful US compounding pathway, so we do not offer it and no clinician we work with will prescribe it. Products sold online as “research chemicals” are not made or tested to the standards required of medicines. If you are working on metabolic health and weight, a licensed clinician can tell you at a free consultation whether an FDA-approved or lawfully compounded treatment fits you, or whether nothing does.
